Administrative arrangements
For 2013/14 this is a First Semester module, timetabled thus:
- lecture-workshops on Tuesdays 11.10 pm - 1.00 pm in Hugh Owen C6.
There are 10 two-hour lecture-workshops.
Teaching sessions are 'workshops', including both interactive lectures and seminar-style
practical activities.
There are no separate seminars/tutorials for this module. Students are welcome to
make appointments to discuss their assignments.
There is no terminal written
examination for this module. Instead you must choose two assignments: one from
the
first batch and one from the
second batch on offer (with word limits of 2,500 each). The first is
normally submitted about 6 weeks into the module and the second soon after the module ends.
Non-assessed assignments may be set between one session and the next and such
work must be completed.
Assignments should be handed in to the departmental secretariat
in the Parry-Williams building by
the specified time on the due date. They must
never be handed directly to tutors. Keep your own personal copy!
