Admin: Resits

As with all modules, students who do not achieve a pass mark for this module may be offered a second chance by the departmental examinations board to 'resit'. Since we don't do exams in this module a 'resit' means 'submit a replacement' for any assignment(s) which achieved a mark of less than 40. Note that the mark for a resit is capped at 40.

• If the failed assignment was the report, then your website comparison must be based on different websites from the ones originally compared (though they may be the same kind of comparison)--unless your resit is a medical resit, in which case it can be the same comparison.
• If you failed on the website proposal you may submit a revised version of the original submission. This must include the Powerpoint presentation (with a CD). Since website proposals (like dissertations) are a substantial piece of work produced over a long period of time involving fieldwork that may be difficult to repeat they are not subject to the usual rule for resubmissions that the title must be a different one.

In both cases you must include with your resubmission dated printouts of an email exchange in which you outline your proposal and in which it is explicitly approved by the module coordinator.

You are very strongly advised to ensure that your revised submission follows the guidelines provided and takes full account of any comments received from the marker(s).
